Fire Truck Visit

The kids got to hear about fire safety from the firefighters and see all of the tools on the truck. The highlight was walking through the truck cab!

Pumpkins and Apples

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch! The kids got to pick a pumpkin, see apple cider being made, taste Apple cider, go for a tractor ride, and play on tr playground! It was a great day!

What Do Scientists Do?

Our class made this fun book with Mrs. Jessie in science class about what they think scientists do.

We ❤️ our Book Boxes!

Students have begun using their book boxes as part of our literacy centers. These boxes have books that students can read independently, either because they have been read in their guided reading group or are easy based on their instructional level. Ask your child about their book box! Thanks to the many families that helped fund these book boxes through the Donors Choose website!

High Attendance Day

Thursday, September 18 is High Attendance Day. The state sets a day aside each year to remind and encourage families to make sure their children are at school each day. This year all JELV teachers and students will wear pajamas in celebration. The classes with 100% attendance will win a special prize! Help us win by making sure your child is at school!

New iPads

We have been very fortunate to recieve two iPad minis through the www.donorachoose.org site and gracious donors. Both were in full use this morning for work in Lexia.
